Free AI Humanizer — Make AI Text Sound Human
Paste up to 2,000 characters of AI-generated text. Our rule-based humanizer rewrites it into natural prose — varying rhythm, simplifying word choice, and stripping the giveaways detectors look for.
How to use this tool
Paste your AI-generated text (max 2,000 characters per run).
Pick a strength (low / medium / high) and personality (casual / confident / analytical / balanced).
Click 'Humanize' — the rewrite runs in your browser request, no LLM call.
Copy the result, or run it again with a different personality.
When you'd use this
- Polishing a draft that came out sounding too generic
- Removing em dashes and predictable transition words from AI output
- Quickly varying sentence rhythm before submitting writing
- Stress-testing whether your prose still reads as AI to a detector
Why this tool exists
Most AI-generated text shares the same fingerprints: heavy em dashes, predictable transitions ('Furthermore', 'Additionally', 'Moreover'), uniform sentence length, sophisticated vocabulary where simple words would do, and an absence of contractions or hedges. AI detectors look for exactly these patterns.
A rule-based humanizer rewrites the patterns instead of generating new text. That has two big advantages over LLM-based humanizers: it's deterministic (you can re-run it and get the same output) and it can't hallucinate facts into your writing. The trade-off is that it's most effective on shorter passages where the structural changes have visible impact.
The full in-app humanizer in Cereby pairs this rule pipeline with detector feedback (telling the rewriter which specific signals to attack harder) and an LLM rescue mode for paragraphs that resist rule-based rewriting. This free tool gives you the rule pipeline only — which on its own handles the bulk of common AI patterns and is plenty for tightening a paragraph or two.
